I never thought about the "monster under the bed thing", but just when I was starting to grow out of real bedwetting(11 years old), I awoke one night before I peed and got up to use the potty. When I walked out into the hall, I saw a ghost. I ran back into my room, got into bed and pulled the covers over my head. I still had to pee pretty badly, so I peed in my bed. I had a couple of real accidents after that, but most nights until sometime after my twelth birthday, I woke up and deliberately wet the bed. I was too scared to use that bathroom.
