There is no need to publicize our doubts about the gender of others. We all know there are fakes and we can deal with that as we think best. If we are not interested in getting to know the person better, their sex makes no difference to us. If we are interested, it is sensible to suggest a phone call or going on cam fairly early in the relationship, just to be sure. One little girl I talked to insisted on going on cam the very first chat just so I would have no doubts. That was nice. It was reasonable for someone to alert the board that an IP address was from Nigeria since that is a notorious scam center, but the fact that he did it "shouting" in all caps is like a kid running back home waving some kind of a trophy. And checking out people's IP addresses, or trying to look in their underwear through their typing, is not a very cuddly activity, and I don't think many little girls would want to team up with someone who spends his life doing that.
