You can't really make generalizations that way.
Societies view on bodily functions is that they're gross and dirty.
The more enlightened know that urine is basically sterile.
There isn't anything you can do to improve poop. It is dirty, smelly and full of bacteria.
To most people, myself included the smell would make them gag and be a turn off.
So the people that can overcome that revulsion and actually enjoy it must, of course, be sick freaks.
A couple seconds on google confirms that, the general population thinks of a poop fetish as someone who covers themselves in it and eats it. I don't think most people here fall into that category, but that's what the public generally conjures up.
As for actually having a screw loose. That's been discussed here before. This fetish seems to attract people who have poor self esteem and emotional issues. Perhaps people who, although not abused sexually or physically, still had a rough child hood. So not entirely screw loose material, but still a little bent.
Those are generalizations of course. Generally people here specifically self police things and chase off the crazy folk.
