The smell of poo in itself is neutral. Young children are not disgusted by their excrement, and doggies and other creatures delight in the stuff. If we experience disgust or displeasure, these are responses we have been taught. I'm with pantiespooper; a feint smell on my fingers can be quite pleasant, like a happy memory. My "daddy" used to say that, after I had visited, the nursery had a strong smell of baby powder with a feint whiff of poo, and he always thought this was "the authentic nursery smell"
