Depending on what program your using to dl the newsgroups. some programs like newsrover (whitch i use) or free agent, will decode the file for you and save it as one file (rm,mpg,avi). some programs like netscape will not combine them and you need andother program to put them together. not worth it. but i recomend downloading newsrover or free agent and using them. also note that all the parts need to be ther. (01/12) - (12/12) in order for it to work. if you only have 11 out of 12 then the post is usless. any other questions fell free to email me.
