Ditch Internet Explorer. IE is THE biggest security problem on a Windows PC. Use Mozilla Firebird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/) instead, it's way safer, plus you get some useful features like tabbed browsing and intelligent pop-up blocking.
