"News flash for you: I'm a guy and I don't believe in love either. I'm also not the only guy who shares this view. Perhaps it is you who needs the education. Or, if you do not favor having a view you disagree with thrust upon you, than I suggest you leave others alone and allow them to believe as they wish."

Nah mate, if one believes in something one tries to persuade other people to believe in it. Just like politics, religion, sport and, well, all forms of advertising. Do you hear George Bush say "Well I believe in Republicanism but don't worry, I won't ram it down your throat if you choose not to believe in it"?

Part of the fun and challenge of being a love believer (like the Monkees) is to persuade non-believers that it is real. Obviously people like you need more persuasion than others, fair play but you're a man so that ain't my gig, I'll leave you to a lady believer!

"My theory is that love exists only as an emotional impulse and not a state of being"

Hold on, you said you didn't believe in it, now you're saying it DOES exist, albeit in a transitory state. That's like saying pain doesn't exist.

When water boils it evaporates, it doesn't stop existing, it just changes its physical properties. Same as love: it might only be tangible for short periods of time, but that doesn't mean when it does exist it's fake. Several elements in the periodic table only ever existed under man-made laboratory conditions, however as far as scientists are concerned they are still real, genuine elements that, under the same conditions, could exist again in the future.

Real people have really loved each other, from Romeo and Juliet to Posh and Becks, therefore love exists. You're accusing these people of either lying or suffering a delusion.

The bottom line for me is my parents have been happily married for forty years, therefore I grew up in a home full of love. I grew up knowing love to be real, therefore although I sympathise with those who didn't have as happy a childhood as me (maybe that's why I'm so desperate to cling to my inner child!), I have no desire at all to form a relationship NOT based on love. Doesn't interest me. It just seems like boring irrelevant drivel to be honest, getting involved in a non-loving relationship. Can't see why anyone bothers if their heart isn't in it. What a waste of effort!

Personally I'd get more pleasure from rolling around in a poopy diaper than fucking a girl without feeling her love for me and my love for her. It's love that I'm looking for from a girl, not sex though I wouldn't say no to sex either if it felt right. At least when I masturbate I know it's sex with someone who loves me!

Why don't you try and persuade me of an advantage to living without love? Name just ONE good thing about living without love and I promise you I'll listen to what you say with an open mind!
