I too have seen those medical journals that indicate average bladder capacity is 400 ml. I couldn't imagine having to run to pee every time I was holding 300-400 ml. That's less than a pint. I probably normally go when I'm in the 600-700ml range, but can easily go well above a liter (1.4 liters is my absolute best) when I am deliberately holding to the max. I also notice many of those medical journals also show the female bladder as much smaller than the male. Obviously they never met Gottagobad or Nicola!
