The wetters that I knew wore some type of bedwetter pants, such as Staydry panties.or the Salk all in ones, or they just wet the bed and changed the sheets. The 2 exceptions were myself and a much younger cousin. My stepsister wore the Staydry Panties they were thick flannel and plastic on the outside with tape ties at the seams. You would have to lay down on it and then bring it up between your legs and over your tummy and then tie the 3-4 cloth tapes. The size was critical to get a good fit. I do remember seeing a number of different sized Staydrys hanging on a clothes line, must have been a house full of bedwetters. Myself I wore birdseye 27x27 baby diapers added together for absorbency.I think it was up to 4 when I stopped. My cousin wore prefolded gauze baby diapers and appropriately sized plastic panties.
I never heard my stepsister complain about putting on her diaper pants she may have been glad to finally get a dry bed, cause she had no diapers for a long time. She will not talk about it today. I had another friend that was a bedwetter till 12 -13 and I asked her about it and we had a short discussion that was very hard for her,now she is no longer a close friend, maybe it was you? I am now careful about bring up such subjects.
