I guess having grown up where my bedwetting and diaper wearing was kept low key I have a little bit of an issue with the fact that when you had them on people were allowed to see you in them and that in the warm weather when you felt like only being in them and not having to wear pj's over them, but had to to help maintain some degree of privacy. I know that in the warm weather all I wanted to have on was the diapers and plastic pants. Mom insisted I wear a robe rather then run around with the plastic pants showing. That didn't make much sense to me as you could hear the crackle of the pants under the robe anyways. Much later I did begin to realize.
